Dressed in a casual outfit of jeans and a hoodie, they opted for contact lenses and sporty sunglasses for a more enjoyable experience. The chosen footwear for this adventure consisted of comfortable and sturdy Mammoths hiking shoes.

The Journey Begins

After a slight detour due to missing a train stop, our host finally arrived at their destination. The Sculpture Way is a peaceful retreat amidst the woods, just a short distance from the town. Notably, the trail is less crowded on weekdays, creating a tranquil ambiance.

Starting from the entrance, our host encountered numerous sculptures along the way. The sculptures represent characters from various popular fairy tales, beautifully carved out of wood. While our host confessed to not knowing the names of the characters in English or German, it was a nostalgic experience to see familiar faces from childhood stories.

The Sculpture Way not only offers an artistic display but also provides an opportunity to immerse oneself in nature. Surrounded by lush greenery, the trail boasts stunning vistas and peaceful resting spots. Throughout the route, there are designated picnic areas where visitors can enjoy a barbecue or simply take in the serene surroundings.

As our host continued their journey, they stumbled upon a captivating water feature. Though unsure of its purpose, they found it to be a truly enchanting sight. The combination of natural beauty and the sculptures added to the overall charm of the trail.

After exploring the Sculpture Way and its surrounding villages for nearly two hours, our host concluded their walk. Despite the tiredness, they were immensely satisfied with the day's adventure.
